The equine care professional will work closely with the Barn Manager to ensure the smooth daily operations of Zuma’s Rescue Ranch. This role requires strong leadership, organization, and communication skills to oversee interns, volunteers, and special events.

Responsibilities

Volunteer Management Develop and implement a formal employees and volunteers training program to ensure all are adequately trained. Maintain an inventory of feed and supplements, ensuring daily monitoring by staff. Volunteer Coordination Work closely with the Barn Manager to ensure optimal volunteer coverage Maintain a daily list of tasks, repairs, and projects for volunteers and ensure tasks are completed correctly. Ensure volunteers are properly trained, appreciated, and encouraged in their roles.

Requirements

• Experience in barn management or equine care

• Strong organizational and time management skills to oversee multiple operations efficiently

• Excellent communication skills to work with staff, volunteers, and event participants

• Ability to lift 50 lbs
